About Me

Who am I?

Are you struggling with out of control sexual behaviors? Is pornography use causing issues in your marriage, family, career, or spiritual life? Do you think you or someone you love might have a sexual addiction? I would love to meet with you and discuss how we can work together to move towards health and balance in all areas of your life. Through making changes in behavior and thinking styles, as well as addressing past pain, abuse, neglect, and trauma, I have seen many who struggle with sexual compulsivity regain control of their lives.

I am a Registered Intern in the state of Oregon (LPC – I), and a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) candidate and supervised by Connie Baker, MA, L.P.C, and Steven DeLugach, MS, L.P,C., CSAT-S.  I graduated from Western Seminary with my Masters in Counseling in May of 2011. I have experience working with adults and adolescents experiencing addiction, betrayal, depression, anxiety, identity issues, grief and loss. I offer individual therapy for all of these issues, as well as group therapy for sexual addiction.

I also write the ManUp blog, where I discuss issues around masculinity, psychology, counseling, and culture. And I co-host the Smart Counsel Podcast with Rhys Pasimio.

I am happy to call the Pacific Northwest my home and enjoy many of the activities that this area of the world offers, including hiking and backpacking and bicycling, as well as just enjoying the outdoors with my wife and 2 daughters. I also love woodworking, and playing music.

Here is a list of issues I have helped others address:

Addiction (Pornography, sex, alcohol, drugs)
Anxiety
Depression
Suicide
Grief and Loss
Identity
Sexuality
Trauma
Premarital counseling (Prepare/Enrich)

I would love to sit down with you for a free initial consultation to see if we might work well together. Feel free to contact me to set something up
